I guess when you live in a one horse town, and you have to drive for everything or wait for a on-line order, I just don't have the patience. Usually what I have will work or I can make it work.
Heck even in parts of a sprawling city.
Not one parts store left near. And just one hardware store. A little one - packed to the gills - but they don't have things like socket head cap screws.
There is one industrial supply house left - so I shouldn't complain.
But for auto parts, its 20 minutes easy each way to the box stores - further to a real one. And since they don't know me, its two trips for anything they have in stock.
Maybe I got spoiled. The one that was close I could just call on the phone and then go pick it up - usually later that day - depending on when their drivers were going to the warehouse with the parts I needed.
