Just read that for 2020 NHRA (At least Div 1) the cut off for Pro will now be 8.50 instead of 9.00. They apparently still in discussion if they will be keeping the 18.99 or be lowering it to 13.99.

I know you stated Div 1. But the 2020 NHRA rule book still shows 9.00 to 13.99 I suppose there could be amendments that are not posted yet.

Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman Section 4A, page 2 E.T. SECTION 4A SUPER PRO, PRO, SPORTSMAN 7.50 (*4.50) seconds & slower DESIGNATIONS NHRA SUMMIT RACING SERIES NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SUPER PRO: 7.00 to 11.99 PRO: 9.00 to 13.99 SPORTSMAN: 12.00 to 19.99

The one that always confused me is that High School can run faster than sportsman.

Found it in amendments 10/9/2019

SECTION 4: E.T. HANDICAP RACING, INTRODUCTION (Page 1) (10/9/2019) Each racetrack has the option of substituting its own selection of class titles and e.t. breaks

The Div 1 banquet/owner meeting was this past week so new changes were announced.

Not sure why, but Div 1 seems to play be a little different book than the other divisions. The Street, now Sportsman class has had a 11.50 cut off for years, but I THINK all the other divisions go by the 12.00 cut off.

I got out of Pro when they moved it to 9.00 and i was going mid 10s at the time. I slowed the car down and now run Street/ Sportsman (11.50s) My friend had a high 15 second Chevy wagon he killed in as the fast cars had a tough time judging him, if he still had the wagon it would be a blast watching 8.50 cars trying to judge him, he finished # 2 in points that year. If they move it to 13.99 i might slow my car down even more to run 13.99 it will be fun!
