Hey there,
First post. Long reader.
Buying my first classic--73 Duster with LA360 swapped.

First, ignore the butcher paint job on this block. Not my fault!
Second, I cant identify these heads-- I checked between the spark plugs and there's only a '31' on the drivers side and a '27' on the passenger side. No X, J, U, W... etc...

Can someone figure out what they are? Cant open them up quite yet.

Thank you,
Ben

Welcome!... . Now pull your valve cover (5 bolts) and read the numbers.

Looks like you're missing a heater core (might need one of those in Canada eh) :) You're also missing your windshield washer tank hoses (not sure if the nozzles are there). Any pics of the rest of the car?

You'll want to get rid of the air cleaner (and maybe the Holley underneath it too) one backfire and the foam air cleaner element melts and right down the carb it goes.

Thank you for the help! I hardly know what I'm dealing with here. i'll attach some more photos when I get home, you'll probably notice some other things missing.

thank you! That's good to know. I was just going to get rid of it because I think it's ugly, ha ha. that carb is no good?

They can be when freshly overhauled. The metering block gaskets can dry out and shrink and cause issues after they set for a long time.

They look to be later 360 heads based of the numbers. My guess is post 77. 1.88/1.60 valves.

Do you happen to know what the model this Carb is? Trying to figure out some specs on it.
Haven't picked up the car yet.
