If you can build your own computer, you are not a typical user.
Obviously, people should not have to be a computer builder to have something that is user friendly these days one would think.
Are we going backwards?
to me it's the same reason i do most of my own car stuff, i hate paying someone to do something i can enjoy learning to do myself. isn't always practical, but i do what i can :) but i sure don't begrudge anyone that doesn't have the time or interest
