Deer tick bite.

Cope; If you have the rings, you have lyme disease. Get to a doctor or clinic TODAY. Doxycycline is the first choice of antibiotic treatment. Get 30 days of doxy. [the spirochetes have a ~28 day reproductive cycle]. Don't wait for a blood test to show results. The first test [elisa] is of little value unless it shows positive. The second test [Western Blot] is more accurate, but not great. The best lab of the W.Blot test is 93% accuracy by their own claims.

I doubt the tick was on you only for several hours. That's usually not enough time for them to infect you. A deer tick goes through different stages. When in the larval stage, they are barely visible. And you usually don't feel them or see them. Once they dig into you they leave a tender red spot with a tiny black spot in the middle. The black spot is the tick.

Consider yourself lucky! Only about half of tick victims get the bullseye rash.

Deer ticks carry many other diseases.
