What are your thoughts on this cam

How old are these cast core Racer Brown roller cams?

Maybe they’re from an era when there was a different metallurgy casting available that’s more suitable for roller spring loads than what’s available these days.
 
LOL! Ol’tyme metal. That ain’t I joke ether. Working under some old equipment jolt in the 20’s & 30’s, everything about the metal is different. The smell, the touch, the feel. Totally different. It really wouldn’t surprise me if that was a better harder more durable metal for the cam. Not one bit.

Man, you got me thinking. Mine is old. I think it was in the Demon when I met my wife, and we've been married over 26 years.
