Top 100 Rock guitarists

-
I don't base my opinion based on my personal music tastes, it's about raw talent to me, not anything else.
Any top 100 list that doesn't at least include Randy Bachman in it is bogus.
The same goes for Nokie Edwards, East Bay Ray, Ted Nugent, David Grohl, and Buckethead,as well as a few others that I can't think of right now.
There is a lot of comments about who inspired who, not just claim to fame or actual talent and versatility.

I realize that there's no pleasing everyone, but really............

There are many guitarists that did not make the list , that should.
It is all opinion of coarse !
Rolling Stone is good for starting fires !
Yngvie Malmsteen is another that should be on there.
Al dimeola too !
Dick Dale , I could keep going !

Top 100, just the idea is bullshit, how can anyone possibly get it down to 100? Joe Perry 84!!! That alone nullifies the bogus list. And really, who cares.. like what you like, listen to what you like, and "hero worship" who you like.

All of that is false!
Wait! There was no revolutionary war?
Our fathers before us were just set free from England?
There aren’t sick people in the world that want something totally different than what we have now?
Your flag waver.
Ya danm straight you socialist commie bastard!

Back to music ...... You know that stuff FROM AMERICA CALLED ROCK AND ROLL THAT WAS LARGELY BANNED IN MANY OTHER COUNTRIES like China, Russia, you know, the commie countries..... that you love so much.

I take all of these lists with a grain of salt !
I would say my views have changed for sure !
I'm into the whole shred thing and always will be !
With that said one guitar player myself and all my shredder friends made fun of in the day was Mick Mars !
Funny there is much more to being great than shred !
Tone, writing, and the influence it has on others !.
I actually think Mick Mars is great now !
His riffs, his tone even some decent solos !
What he did fit the music !
He had killer memorable riffs !
He always had killer tone !
Tone I believe makes players stand out !
Many great players write shitty songs !
It is a total package !

Let's not get started on the Hall of Fame, then. Lol

Prince could play like 23 instruments. Did Jon Sykes make the list? I must look.
All I know is I didn't make the 100 greatest drummers list.
Here's that video, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, with the solo for Harrison's induction into R&R Hall of Fame. Harrison's kid is also on acoustic. Like others, not a big fan of his music, but you gotta like this solo. Interesting story about it also.
