Can Anyone tell me what this is out of? Guy said 67 coronet, just want to be sure that’s what it is and that it’ll work in a 69 roadrunner. Looks like it says 9E152232?

Thanks,
Jake

Does is have a shifter mount for a B-body?

The car one VIN higher is a B-body from LA.

Yeah, it’s a b body shifter. Do you know what year they went to both b/e mounts? This only has a single mount.

Sometime during the 1969 model year, the second boss was added. They were not drilled & tapped for bolt holes at first though.

Early preparations for the 1970 model year with the E-bodies on the horizon.

It actually looks like an a body transmission. But the numbers say it’s a B body? Here are a few more pictures.

You can build a trans with mismatched parts so the main case could be a B and the extension an A. Look at the fill plug, lower drilled location is an A upper plug is for a B. Tailshaft housing looks A to me.

I wonder why someone would go through the trouble?

50 year old parts do strange things. Other than a number they are mostly the same.

It looks perfect inside. I wonder if the gear selection would be a reason to swap out? How do you tell if it’s 2.66 set?

Jake

You have an A body mainshaft and tail housing. People broke ears off of the main case? Swap whatever is available. I would not hesitate to do the same. Lunched the 67 B Body trans? Wanted the larger 308 front bearing main case? Who knows. The Brewers site has a good overveiw, click on the "Before you Order" tab. Should be easy to figure out what gears are in there.

You have to count gear teeth. 4th is 24, CS is 31, 3rd is 29, CS is 27, 2nd is 34, CS is 23, 1st is 35, CS is 17. CS is countershaft. I am building one right now!
