Does anyone know how to repair my trunk lock? There is a piece missing, but I don't know what piece. It has always worked properly, but I think someone tried getting in the trunk and they broke it.

you're missing the little metal bar that goes from the lock cylinder to the latch. just have to source a replacement

There is a little spring like holding device that holds the rod to the back of the lock assembly.
Sometimes they fall off if hit be something in the trunk bouncing around.
For what you will pay for the rod you can get a whole new truck lock assembly (diffrent key code)

The small cast section at the end that holds the metal bar often breaks. If it has, buy another assembly.

Oreillys had a new cylinder and the related pieces in stock for my dart. Pretty dang cheap also.

Yes, it probably is. Thanks!

Not too long ago my trunk lock broke like that and the little flat arm between the lock cylinder and latch fell out.
Looking closer at it I found the tiny roll pin that holds the flat arm in the lock cylinder had fallen out.
I was able to make a new pin with a finish nail and put it back together.
Betcha the arm off yours in laying down in the bottom of that brace.
