Need to size the pliers for the task. I bought snap-on set after trashing a few pairs of cheaper ones. One pair to do the job even of better quality is money well spent.
I used cheaper ones for years and finally broke down and bought a used set of Snap On off e bay. There is a lot less frustration in my life now when working on something that requires snap ring pliers.
