EFI slant six intake now available

note the slant six fuel rail for <$ 70.00
that is a great price

get a Clifford intake with the nitrous bosses and drill them for injectors,.
or weld injector bungs on to a regular Clifford, and you will have a good manifold for a FI slant.

although that Gill Welding manifold looks like a nice piece also, for a bolt on ready, fabricated part, it would look great under the hood.

From my experience with a MPFI slant, the biggest advantage over a carb is the ease of tuning the motor, you do it all with a lap top, the Mega Squirt system that I have also controls ignition advance, has a built in two step throttle control and knock sensing.
There is no changing jets in the carb, or changing springs in the distributor. Any tuning change you want is a key stroke away.

for an ECU, a fully assembled Micro Squirt, with a harness is available new for <$400.00 The Micro Squirt will control fuel and ignition, or to start with, just do fuel and let your existing points or mopar electronic distributor run the ignition side, I believe the Micro Squirt also does data logging.
MicroSquirt Assembled Engine Management System
add a GM Vortec throttle body from your local P-A-P, grab the IAT and Coolant temp sensors, couple with a GM MAP and for engine controls you are about set
you will still need a fuel delivery system, Tanks INC has a bolt in A body fuel tank with an internal fuel pump, or consider one the returnless systems.

The point is, all of the basic parts required to install a MPFI system on a slant are available basically over the counter. If you want to do it, the parts are available.
