Hi all, I was just wondering if there are any companies out there that make a factory appearing radio with modern guts that will go right into my stock dash. I have one from custom auto sound in my 67 cougar that I really like but they don’t appear to make a direct fit for my 73 dart. I’d really like to keep everything looking factory and not hack up my dash for a modern radio.

Is your radio am/fm or only am

If am/fm you could get an fm transmitter device, some are Bluetooth.

Also do a Google search. There are a few who will swap modern guts into older radios

Unfortunately mine is only an am. I’ve done the fm transmitter in a couple old cars with mixed results. The signal seemed to be succeptable to outside interference. My next step would be trying to find a place to swap modern guts into my stocker. The whole assembly seems to be in ok shape.

There are remote radios that have small head units

You can find a older style raido. I believed they refer to them as "two post." When I was searching there were two companies making them brand new. I believe Jensen had one.
