The fingers drop and that drop depends on the thickness of the disc. I see you are in Oregon City.

There used to be a place in Portland right off of I-5 on Columbia Blvd called Friction Supply. I think someone said its gone. But you can take your pressure plate and disc to a similar friction house and have them raise the finger height .100 and that will make power shifting quicker and easier.

If you don't want the clutch releasing off the floor, reduce the freeplay.

As long as you don't use the clutch pedal as a foot rest, you can use 1/4 inch of freeplay. That will keep it from releasing at the bottom of the stroke.
