The Purple People Beater...perhaps the ugliest running

Mopar in Manitoba for the last 25 years...

I vote for '69 Dart. Here's mine, 318 GT. Still have what's left of my first one, 340 swinger 4spd, and a parts car. Any '67-69 Dart. Clean, simple lines, yet gets the job done.

The best lookin' A body? A finished one. Love 'em all. If you twist my arm and hold my beer hostage, I'd have to go with a '68 Dart. But dayum, those Aussie VE/VF Safari wagons and Wayfarer utes are sweet, too!
Well if you like Wayfarer utes here’s one of the nicest you’ll find!

My favorite is a combo. Cuda with a 68 front end and a 69 rear end, 69 stripes. I have seen a picture of that combo once.

That brings back a ton of great memories of my first Dart, a brown '70 GT, .030 318 with 340 intake and J heads, fair amount of rust, and struck fear into the hearts of IROC and Trans am owners throughout Winnipeg 12 months of the year in the late '80s. That car could go like a scalded cat, just don't expect to stop in a hurry.

I love my '69 Notch.
But, if I had my choice, it'd be a '67 Valiant 2 door. My brother had one in the early '80's. He put huge tires on the back.. looked awesome.
Nobody would race him because of his reputation.. it had a 6 with a push button auto, lol.

The beater actually has good disk brakes on these days...back in the first picture it had small bolt drums on the front...the rear end is an A body 8 3/4 unit that Forzley narrowed.

67 and 68 Barracuda. Not because I own one. I always owned darts and my favorite Mopar is the 68 gts dart. That was the first car I owned

I voted for the Dart of course.
My favorite years are '69 and '71 followed closely by the '74.
The '68 and '69 Barracuda fast back would be next.
Strangely enough, I don't care for pre '66 A-Bodies especially the toads or for '67 to '69 notch back Barracudas.
I pretty much like all 4 doors from '67 and up and all of the ''beak'' cars including the '67 to '69 Barracuda fast backs and the '73 and up Dusters and Dart Sports.

That's a tough call because I honestly like them all but to me it's the Styling of the Earlier A Bodies that is really appealing be it a Dart, Valiant or Barracuda. I really think the Earlier cars struck a better balance with their rounded fenders while still maintaining straight lines and the interiors still had at least a modicum of personality. The later Darts, Swingers, Valiants, etc. while I love them too are essentially just a box with four wheels.

Nowwwwww, when it comes to actually having to modify and work on this stuff on a stock chassis get me far away from the early stuff and put me in a Demon or Duster which also have great lines externally but suffer the downside of totally generic interiors.

This poll would have been Helluva Lot better if you could have voted for a particular year and model...
