Glass, Legos, Q-tips, and Pin Vise

I use a piece of 1/4" thick glass sort of as a surface plate and a flat surface for assembly.
I make a corner of out Legos and use it as a jig when gluing up corners.
I use Q-tips instead of a brush to paint or stain sone things. Then just pitch it.
Every time I go to use the Pin Vise, I always have to switch the jaws around. I think it must be some sort of Murphy's Law.
I work in 1/4"= 1 Ft. I model late 1880s narrow gauge railroad stuff. I use Grandt Line parts and a lot of strip wood.

I just looked up what MEK is and would love to use some, but I live in Comifornia where it is apparently against the law to purchase/use :BangHead:.
