Hey Guys

I bought the ready to run electronic distributor from Assault Racing. It doesn’t want to drop into the engine correctly. The end of the shaft is a little wider and a lot longer than my stock distributor. Has anyone heard of this problem?

Thanks!

Looks like there's 2 different ones. If they don't fit you don't need it.

get the right (top) one? should be 3 3/4" from bottom of flange (above O-ring) to tip and the tip is 1/2 wide. If its not, they may have sent the B (bottom). Notice rotational differences by the side the can is on.

Hi Pishta,

Thanks for the great pictures. I have the top one, which I think you are saying is correct. I’m starting to wonder if the O-ring is just snug, and I need to push a little harder. If so, I’m embarrassed that I gave up so easily.

OK, it isn’t the O-ring’s fault. The Assault distributor is actually a little longer, and the tip is different.

I compared it to a big block mopar distributor, and it definitely isn’t that. Did they send me a Ford or Chevy distributor?

I’ve read on this site that many people have used the Assault for small block Mopar, so I’m confused
