Check rear end for proper fluid level. Also try raising up rear end and turning rear tires by hand and listen for scraping.

Thanks 4spdragtop.{yes she is a 318}I will check there for the oil sending unit. The rear end fluid is up there because I just replaced both rear axel bearings and seals yesterday. I tried that by putting it up on jack stand and turning the wheels , no noise that way, I even dropped the drive shaft and tried turning the wheels no noise that way???????Thanks Bruce.
