I know I am not a FABO official, but I do want to say this. People FREQUENTLY ask questions without giving sufficient data. Like, "Which rear end gear ratio should I use?" without giving us the engine, transmission, etc. Or, "Which cam should I use?" without telling us the tranny, gear ratio, or plans for the car. Or,, "Which manifold should I use?" without engine data, etc. How can FABO members possibly answer questions if we don't know these facts. I know it isn't a big deal, or anything to worry about, but it would make questions easier to answer.

Always the complaint of the veterans here.

Here is the short answer list....
Which cam ...... .750 solid roller
What rear end ..... DANA
What gears..... 2.76, 3.90 or 5.13
(Hwy. S/S, Race)
Which intake ... Stock for daily, RPM for everything else except for a Tunnel Ram, for racing.
What tire & size .... 30 X 12 slick. Treaded slicks for street.

Edit: Added suggestions

Good luck with "THAT"! lol

So many threads are just plain IGNORED because of lack of pertinent information.

Must be everyone thinks their car is the exact identical twin to everyone elses?

New guys to the hobby have the hardest time expressing themselves and/or understanding what needs to be conveyed in there search for an answer.

yup. but on the plus side look at Dartin for Divorce's thread. he had some car wrenching history, but nothing like what he's jumped into with his dart. sometimes he's not even sure what question he needs to ask, but he's working though it and doing a good job of it.

Yeah sometimes I go out to dozen pages to find threads started with no answers, and I can see the reason is lack of information. Sometimes, if it's a subject I'm familiar with, I still respond, cuz you know, I know first posts on here can be brutal, so if someone waded thru the mess to post, I figure he deserves some kind of answer, even if I just say IDK.
As much as I agree with harrisonm, I kindof like the guessing game, lol.

How many likes and agrees can I give here? :poke:

I LOVE the ones from lazy *** people that cant even be bothered to download a free manual....You own a 50+ year old mopar and owning a service manual and parts manual is a shitty idea? Fix yer broken **** yourself.
OR a classic from a longtime member...."I have NOS manifolds but dont know the part #, can someone get me the part #'s so i can list these for sale?"
Seriously? F*** off with your over priced **** and look it up yourself.
Rant NOT over....just paused...

I don't pull those numbers out of my azz. I bought a book and I have to look them up. The poster asking the question should do the same.

Even u bought a book, good lord they are available free for download.
Some members should be sent for "testing" LOTS of laziness, and stupidity.

I'm gettin to where I just click off like a switch if there isn't enough info. I've been chastised by members for making that complaint, so I'm just not going to offer my help on those type threads anymore. I'll just shake my head and move on. My input won't be missed anyway.

I have a dodge, it’s blue with one primered fender and a cracked back window. What should my carb float setting be?

"Can anyone decode my fender tag or build sheet?" No thank you's but arguments from members. Sorry, do it yourself or pay Galen to do it for you.

The ones I laugh my butt off at are the ones where somebody thinks they have something "valuable" and they get told.....and nicely that it's not.......then they get snarky because they ain't gettin the answers "they wanna hear".

You could file that one with lots of things. Cam selections, engine combos.....peole ask questions and they've already made up their minds about "whatever" and it's just the WRONG decision. lol
