I've decided to add a non-remote mirror to the right side of my 67 Barracuda. Anybody have a picture and/or location information so I can do it right?

Check the FSM I recall seeing a template for antenna maybe even mirror

Mymopar.com, look in refrence section you can down load for free

I thought about this before, but the wing window always seemed to muck up the placement from my vantage point in the driver's seat. I have a 68 Barracuda.

A friend has one on his 67, there when he got it, placed in same spot as driver's side, impossible to see from the driver's seat.
I think it would have to be on the fender to be useful. Just an fyi.
Was that even an option?

I DONT THINK SO , I KNOW A BRAND NEW 68 FORM S I BOUGHT IN 68 DIDNT HAVE ONE .

Our 67 "S" has a factory pass side mirror. It's in storage so cant get measurements sorry. Going by memory I believe its located same as drivers side.

The drivers door mirror on the 68 and 69 model is not in the same place as 67 model. If you put the passengers side mirror in the same measured position on 67 it wont conflict with vent window but the view is about worthless. If you put it in the 68/9 measured position the view is a little better but it does conflict with vent window.
So what to do?... Put a good amount of blue tape on the 67 passengers door. Measure where you drivers door mirror is and make some marks on your tape to match. Have a helper hold the mirror there and see what view you get. I don't know how far we can shift the mirrors foot before another issue arises, Foot pad doesn't seal? Door inner structure interferes with mirror mounting hardware?
Most owners add the passengers side mirror for only the exterior appearance anyway. There are a few who need a helpful view for trailer towing/backing. A long time back there was a member here who got the idea of convex mirror glass. The mirror he bought ( from Summit or Rocakauto for like 8 bucks, I forget ) was larger diameter. He cut it down fit and glued it on. He claimed a helpful view.

The measurement from the front edge of the door is right about 10 inches even. The convex mirror is a big improvement over the flat factory original.

I have one on my 67S. If you still need measurements or a pic let me know.

My 67 driver side mirror is roughly in the middle of the vent window.
I had a 71 Dart and it was behind the vent window.
Sure would like to see that side of the car sometimes.
Personally, I can't justify the coin for a new mirror, as it would be the only good chrome on my car, ha!
Maybe a backup camera is in order.

67 mirror is the same placement as the left side, center of wing vent, only good for seeing I right lane or side of road behind car.
In 68 & 69 both mirrors were moved behind edge of vent window, still useless for right side of car but still improved look of car.

Here is pic from MITP last year, not my car

My 68 fastback has the factory installed passenger side mirror. It's pretty useless. Guessing it was just intended to be an appearance option.

Was going to do @68gtxman idea but can't find a mirror close in size, would definitely make a big difference in viewing

I was planning to put a big convex stick-on mirror on it anyway. I ordered a right side mirror from Laysons but have yet to receive it.

it always bothered me they mess up opening the passenger vent window, then i realized i don't sit on that side :)

That's what I was wondering. Mine isn't used either , and wonder about the view if placed identicle to drivers side.

Exactly what is the diff. between the pass. and drivers side mirrors? Look alike to me , having never had a pass. side one in my had .
