I can guaranty Ians Coronet wont be nice paint when we come though in January, but maybe after that trip we will do the paint and body right.
 
Some fun photos for Kaelyn's senior picture.... not sure what she selected.... The bottom one looks Photoshopped but I was there when it was taken so I know it wasn't. I critisized her for the color and Keystones but every time I look at this car the more I love it....it just flipping works....

Kaelyn won 2nd for '70 to modern class and I ended up being interviewed with my Coronet for "My Classic Car".... likely airing date in March for the Tubac Arizona Car Show... What a great day with my little girl!...

That is cool if you end up on the show. I am extremely jealous that you have sun shine and car shows in January. It will be awhile before that happens in Michigan.

The next 3-4 months are really the only nice times to have car shows here

Interesting... look who put on their coveralls and just came outside to help for no particular reason, her Duster is done.... She is hooked :)

I think that Dart needs a light bar in the front of the hood impression..... Knight Rider style......

That is a process I am quite fond of. I like the running the damage dozer and heavier welding.

My least favorite part is spraying the the paint. The clear coat gets everywhere and is sticky and it's hard to get the top of the car without ladders and scaffolding. Then I always feel rushed with paint.

The welding and sanding is so relaxed and gets done when it gets done.

The engine stands help a lot... just roll it on its side and spray one side, roll it to the other and spray the other.

I was looking at your setup, thinking I might have to get creative and copy you, again. :rolleyes:

That is really neat and useful, especially with my height (I bet I'm shorter than her), that would speed up the process and really make working easy.

Wow! wonderful work documenting your build. and a father and daughter build at that. the car turned out beautiful and, you and a lot of the FABO people following offered up some great tech and advise. I struggle to get my Son out to the garage with me to work on mine ( 70 Duster ) he is after me for a 68 Dart project. I know where a good one is so maybe I will get it and see if he is interested.

Sorry all but Kaelyn has too much going on at school next week and really wants to go to the HEMI show but can't really spare the time. Looks like we are out.... sorry, hope you have fun. Maybe next year we can have all 3 of us be there with the Coronet, Duster and Dart!
