When we went to Irwindale Raceway for the drags we did their concession stand the first trip and the burgers earned the name Blacktop Burgers among the group. After that we took a little tour and on Azusa Blvd we found this funky little In-N-Out place.
That became part of the drag racing experience at Irwindale. Years later after the strip had closed up I found out that Harry Snyder the founder of In-N-Out was a partner at Irwindale Raceway. He was either a brilliant businessman making the burgers so nasty at the track that it chased many spectators to his drive-ins or he didn't want to let food interfere with his drag racing :lol:.
They do have cool t-shirts though.
