The next and last piece for my 8.25 swap.
All I can seem to find is 27 and 29 spline 7290 yokes for the 8.25
The swap is pretty much all done and even test driven but I had to temporarily use the conversion joint because out of 3 rear ends I don't have that 7290 yoke for the 1973 8.25 10 spline pinion.
The trans yoke and driveshaft are all 7290 now, so I have a heavy duty chain with one light duty link in it.:D (guess where that'll break first)
I had one inch of driveshaft clearance (length) and that is just a little too close for comfort, so the shop is taking one inch out of the driveshaft right now (it'll be ready tomorrow)
We agreed that 2 inches of length clearance will be a bit too much, but with the 1.5 inch taller 7290 yoke I would have 1.5 inches. (pretty much perfect)

Thanks

If this needs to be moved to a wanted add please do.

I can’t seem to find a 7290 joint, but perhaps there is a cross over joint for this?

7290 - 1350???

I could be wrong (it has happened :D) but I am under the impression no 8.75 yokes fit any 8.25 pinion shafts.
Is that wrong?

I had the driveshaft shop look and he didn't find any 8.25 yokes for a 7290 joint with 10 splines either.
(27 and 29) splines for the 8.25 are available though, because Jeep uses them.

Just food for thought- the Max Wedges used the small U Joints I believe. I'm not saying the small would be OK if you can find the large U Joint yoke.

You are correct and I posted the wrong link.
7.25 & 8.25 swap. Nothing else swaps over.
I thought I found and listed a 8.25 w/a 1350 . Then it occurred to me that a 7290 to 1350 (IIRC) U joint is out there.
