If it is stock I wouldn’t waste my time testing it as is. Sure if May answer some questions for some members but do what. Go for the Home run and put a cam in it and those Speedmaster heads and go for the gold.
Start the process for the title (Arrggg! Our state will be a pain! :BangHead:)
Go over the car for safety. Brakes, steering, wiring, gas lines and shifting. It drives now so that's a good start.
Verify the mechanics. Engine (temp stable, compression, oil pressure, any leaks?). Transmission (shifts good, any leaks?). Rear end (howls, growls, verify gears, any leaks).
Add a passenger seat!!!!
Tech Inspection at home for the dragway.
Make it street legal … lights, blinkers, exhaust.
After I knock out the list above, then I will move forward with performance.
