1969 Barracuda 340 Formula S Restoration
Both the heads and block on my 340 have been planed, but I dont know the total amount. As a result, the intake manifold does not fit correctly. ie it sits too high with gaskets in place. If no gaskets installed, it fits correctly. The Edelbrock intake gaskets (7276) that are specified for this Al intake are about 0.060" thick. They say not to use FelPro gaskets because they are too hard. The FelPro gaskets (MS90109) are about 0.040" thick.
Thus I will have to mill both intake surfaces 0.060" or mill the intake surface of the heads by the same amount to get the correct fit.
