I'm here
  • '76 Duster - 360 getting stock heads swapped, eventually 3.23's in for 2.94's, cam swap, converter swap
  • '74 Duster - dual quads on the 318, and only the Lord knows what all could happen by the end of the year. Maybe drive train swap??
  • '89 B250 Van - 360 magnum - what's this whale going to swim in the 1/4 mile
  • Who knows what the 10's for 5 grand will produce!!!!
  • Son's Scat Pack with Corsa exhaust - Getting tires that bite, then a ET slip
Ya'll can list what you did and what your hoping for on ET slip!!!

And my vote is the VAN. Why? Because I don't have to turn a stink'n wrench to make the pass!! LOL :p

P.S. - this thread came about while I was in the 10's for 5k, think'n of all that I have going on in just the car world. Some of this takes time, and certainly 10's for 5k will take time.

Made my decision. The VAN. No wrench'n needed :)
Save the van for camping and towing a 10 sec car to the track.
Get the 360 Duster in the 12's would be #1 on my list.
A 20 sec pass in a van. lol:BangHead:

Getting the 360 Duster to go 12's is a spit in the wind. If the van goes 20 second, I'll eat it!

how about you?? Did you do any changes to the car??? Are you going to go faster this year????

I like the 318 dual quad. I don’t know of anyone who has ever done it. If anyone has tried it then post the results please.

I don't recall a low rise dual quad 318. Jpar did the dual quad tunnel ram 318 - he dropped a 1/2 second if I remember right. He also had a 4 speed and better gear ???

Or you can just say a real man's transmission in a better gear..:poke:
But I had that before and after the Dual quads.....

Put on those Speedmasters. The world wants to know.

I'm having to modify the 273 intake to fit the 66 and up heads.... therefore the delay.

You doing heads and carb swap all at once? and you have your clutch tamer.... When does your track open???
I'm probably going to go for the carb change first.. relatively soon I hope weather permitting..
I'll probably save the heads for a late spring early summer project...
I think the track opens in March but I probably won't be down there till April or May.. maybe even later I'm kind of a fair-weather drag racer.. like you I just go down for fun most of the time so the weather got to be just right not too hot not too cold not too windy but just right...
I do like to go to Woodburn in July for the Mopar Nationals which has the car show and swap meet but that is generally too hot! LOL...

I've been eyeballing the 67 notch parts car on the back 40. A backhalf project perhaps. I should do something with it though'
I'm still in the process of prepping my lifelong fastback to return it to the factory 67 medium turquoise , it's a tedious process after 3 other paint jobs over 40 years.
It doesn't need to go any faster :D
I've also been entertaining a 413 stroker build, I have a premium block to do it.

I do believe J par will get in the 11's this year in street trim. There's no stopping him, he's persistent and motivated.
