Guess what cam I’m running

My remarks were tongue-in-cheek posturing banter, the point of which was to inject humor into a slant-six dead-end, thread. I live hundreds and hundreds of miles away so it was/is never gonna happen.
Quarter mile ET means about nothing on the street.
The right gear at the right time with just the right power, and predictable tires and suspension; these are what count. It is very easy to have too much power or not enough suspension/tire.
For you;30mph is 3880rpm in first gear with 27" tires.
For me it's 4090.
For you 50 is 4670 in second
For me it's 5480 in first-over.
I can upshift in mid-turn without declutching.
My car will corner in first at full throttle and full lock steering, and not spin out. Unless I hit a sandy spot, but a lil toe on the clutch, and a rev-limiter, and she straightens herself right out.
My car has 52.5% front weight bias. Yours?
From what I remember, early Darts, the performance ones, were tail happy. About 7* off the line and around they would go, making them a point and shoot type of car. Very few guys could recover from more than one or two swings, and keep their foot in it. Mine don't do that.
For you to go 11.80, with a 340, I'll bet you are heavily biased for straightline work.
I don't care about drag-racing, so I am heavily biased for second gear work. First is a throw away for me, and I don't get into third until over 80mph, so don't care about third or more. Just second.
I don't know or care what my car will do in the quarter; but on an old abandoned airport runway, on a particularly nice day in 2004, she cranked 93 in the Eighth with 3.55s, at 3467 pounds at the start line and 930 feet altitude, with a60ft of 2.4 and change.
See my trans ratios below
I’ve got a 309 first gear so 40 is more like 4200 with 391s front disc brakes my dart weighs 3400 with driver and hooks up on the street better than the track. 15000 street miles of 7 years of owning the car no it’s not heavily straight line biased I can also launch at 4 k In my set up and hook up on the street. Street tires have improved miles since the 60-70s with bias tires. Not tail happy. But yeah I would love 355 in my combo with that tall first. The rest is this is just jerking around. The guys car did sound good tho.
