Price doesnt seem too outlandish
It all depends on what someone considers as ''outlandish''.
To me, the price wouldn't be too bad, but the shipping is almost 100 bucks.
That gets you to a grand total of about 425 bucks shipped to your house.
That is quite expensive for what you are getting IMHO.........

That is some PRIME radiator hose connecting the carb flanges to the runners!

OK, you post up another add for a 4x2 intake for under $350.00
(with carb linkage)

i looked at those hoses, and they connect a weldable piece to a welded piece
so that tells me they made that section removable for a reason

just because i dont see the reason at first glance means nothing

i must be closer, shipping to me is only 28.45
which puts the whole thing at 350

only $28 shipping to my house 32 miles away. I like the idea for a prototype, then do it again so it looks good.

Guy has some interesting stuff, including a 383 six pack type intake

Have you priced IDF Webers? 4 big ones will set you back >>800. This will also be 2 feet tall once the carbs are installed. Smaller are cheaper, this 40 IDF is a steal!

EDIT: you only need 2 40's as the CFMs are about 430 a piece. and they are NOT progressive. Think of an 850 Holley double pumper with a 1:1 linkage. Hope you can feather that throttle. >>>Actually on an IR intake, you'll need 4 as they pull from one venturi only. Not the 4 of a standard common plenum intake. So an almost 8 liter motor will pull 1l per intake event through one of those carb throats. You'll need some Weber carb for that considering a 2180cc VW works great on dual 44 IDF's pilling 545CC per intake event.

More like $400 EACH for carbs. And that is for the Spanish new models, not the original Italy models. So that is $1600 and tuning and linkages and fuel lines. I like it, it's cool, but not cheap.

My goodness, I`m about 1/2 blind but some of you guys are aren`t looking close.
There is just short pieces of hose connections. And rad hoses? they do make larger fuel rated hoses.
And REAL Webers would set ya back around $3500 to top that Intake off.

Now tell me why that won't fit my 383 also?
section out an inch of that top "girdle" and youll be set. China copied Weber now so you can skimp on the carbs @ ~100/pc and totally going through them to make sure they could work. That looks pretty easy to fab if you can source those 45's or just form them on an arbor.

well i've got this setup , but have you looked at bbchevy intakes , i've been told that port and bolt patterns are the same . just need to cut off the valley tray and build one for the rb block .

LOL!!! Yeah, like almost 100% of the new vehicles built for the last 25yrs are running around with that "rad hose", filler neck to tank............

I have access to a complete set of authentic, high-flow, tunable runners for that intake available for only $500, but that also includes all-new hygear hose clamps. Shipping is extra, and drop ships from Oriely's auto parts.
