10's on $5,000 ?

Well to push 4000 pounds down the quarter in the 11.50 to 11.99 range he needs to come up with 400 to 475 hp very doable with good heads and compression ( I dont believe it can be do with a rering on a smog motor for several reasons). The thing nice about a pickup is you can bolt a big slick on without much worry about interference and tire will make up for suspension.
The downside to 4000 lbs drag vehicles is they break parts especially stock parts. Axles, ring and pinions and transmissions , sometimes all at the same time.
This could be a fun runner and definitely suprising fast but not my choice for a hotrod.

Somebody that has a program for speed power check my hp numbers I'm using Moroso and I'm not sure if it's not wheel hp.
