OK 64 Valiant going from manual to power steering, does the column have to be changed? Not sure.
ehh not sure on early As, I do know that yes, the column needs changed on the 67-76s. That said, you could modify one either way you need to go easily and cheaply.
Friend asked. Got a 64 and wants power steering. Top it off slant originally now a SB.
Never done the P/S swap but you should have to change the column. The power column's are shorter. If you go the other way you can use the adapter/extension for the power steering box.
thats the easy way, just gut the shaft to length and get the adapter from Summit or Speedway.

That's what I thought, seriously doubt you can find just the shaft, but who knows. I just happen to have mine out for rebuilding kind of funny. Got that NOS seal/bearing kit for it.
