AMD 70/71 Demon/Duster quarter panels

Just wanted to let every one know I just found out this afternoon that AMD is no longer suppling the full quarter panels for these cars any more. If you them then you need to purchase the 72 and up panels and modify them for the 70/71 side marker lights.
 
I knew it would come to this eventually.
Are they just out of stock, or are they really discontinuing them?
I know there were fitment issues, but I honestly thought that they would be more popular than the '72 and up models.
Do they still offer skins for the '70 and '71 models, or are they discontinued too?
 
Just bought a right side through Tamaraz. Free shipping. Ebay. They also had the 68 barracuda valance for tips that AMD didn't have . They are AMD parts. Go figure.

Just checked Tamarez website the full quarters are sold out, since they are manufactured by AMD.

I bouught a drivers side quarter from Eastwood in Nov they were on back order then. Hope to see it in Feb. No mention of discontinueation.

You will be getting a refund. Tamaraz does not have them in stock
 
I've been wondering if some of the reproduction parts would start going out of production. Guess I had better get some quarter skins ordered for my 73 Dart Sport. I think I will also need outer wheelhouses and maybe inners, and trunk floor drop offs.The top of both quarters look to be in decent shape so I think skins will be fine. I see AMD, Sherman, and Goodmark. Anyone have brand suggestions?

AMD is brobably the best second Goodmark
Idont know about Sherman
 
I would call before you try to order any 70 71 duster full quarters panels. Everyone we tried to order from send us a refund. Out of stock. Maybe in the full kits.

AMD still have the 72 full quarter available.
 
Just got an email this morning from Eastwood showing they still have quarter panels at $472 direct from factory.

Yes, email add for AMD quarter panels . Same add I responded to in Nov. You would think if AMD was stopping production Eastwood would have stopped add . I've been in touch with sales rep since November about my part delivery and he said nothing has changed.

You can still get the 72 on up full quarters. If you need the 70/71 you need to fab. work on the side marker lights and make them work.
 
Called Eastwood this morning to see how far out my panel was . Back ordered to mid Feb . I asked the gal if she had heard anything about AMD discontinuing quarters ( 70/71 ), she said no . She said that AMD usually notifies them of any changes in production and I see they still have it listed for sale. She said she would check. I'll try and find out more.

I did recheck add and its still up 1970/71 Duster quarter panel item #1069051 $472.49
 
Just got off the phone with Mike at AMD NO more 70 71 Duster Quarter panels
