I'm looking for an old junk speedo cable that someone would be willing to cut and pull the threaded nut off of as I just converted my Dart to a Gps speedometer and I want to pull the cable out, but not destroy it as it's fairly new. I need the nut to seal off the trans.

There were a couple different sizes of collector nut at trans end of cables. Considered a rubber cap to fit it?

The missing nut does not cause an oil leak.
You want to make sure the inner pinon seal is good and then just any rubber ca will keep the dirt out.

The trans is a 727, not sure what the nut size is without crawling under the car.

You wouldn't know what size rubber cap either then. Sorry I don't know what year model(s) they changed.
I'm pretty sure the trans is from the early 70's, I don't recall this being an issue when I bought the speedo cable, the only issue I remember was there were two different lengths to choose from.

Just spent 20 mins going thru old parts receipts and found the speedo cable and the nut size is 13/16".

And all that info will help other members know if they have the correct nut you asked for. Good luck.

Speedo cables are really cheap at Oreilly’s. For around $10 you can buy a new one & use the nut. Doesn’t matter what cable if it has the right nut.
