Top 5 worst A-body repairs/restoration jobs

I thin I liked the Bedliner better.
LOL, just kidding. You did a great job. Was there rust, bondo and fiberglass under the bedliner? Usually, crap like that is sprayed to cover up something bad.

No it was perfect, no damage, no bondo, no sheet metal with pop rivets.

I started out with A body cars. I've had a few over the years along with 3 B body cars.
I recall having a really hard time with a transmission swap in a '73 Duster. The shift linkage clips were really hard to reach with dual exhaust and the torsion bars right in the way.
Interior stuff up and under the dash isn't much fun either. It only gets worse as you get older and your up close vision starts to degrade. There are many tasks where you can see it or touch it but not both at the same time so it is a matter of feel to remove or install the hard-to-reach bolt.
Doug Thorley headers in a Duster with a 4 speed and a 360....It would have been great if the engine didn't need a starter. I had those pipes in and out of the car at least 12 times denting for clearance before I gave up and bashed the hell out of them with a sledgehammer just to feel some satisfaction.

I have a 1973 Dart I stripped to a shell, painted. 360, 4 speed with a for 8.8 rear end, 21 circuit gm universal painless wiring harness, vintage heat/defrost.
The stuff I found difficult or spent the most time researching were;
1.) Headers (I absolutely hated installing headers)
2.) Finding replacement ignition and turn signal connectors also figuring out a neutral safety switch, I saw brewers carried a $200 option I didn't want to do
3.) Starter is in a horrible place when I have line lock, mechanical clutch linkage, torsion bar, power steering all in one place. Really hoping things don't go wrong there
4.) Tire fitment has been tricky to run big tires that are square front to back
5.) Finding a rear axle narrow enough that will handle horsepower at a reasonable price

I think why I have such a hate for the headers is it was the most expensive item I had on the car for a while and scratched them pretty good trying to install
