listening to the world

Sermon today was about "blessed with a burden" as in God gives you these challenges to allow you to solve them in a Christian way. Im dealing with a douche supervisor that snubbed me on an operations meeting last Wednesday, didn't even invite me even though I'm one of 2 leads directly under him for the 2 platforms we deploy. so I'm wondering the whole night if Im still even on the team. I calmly explain to my boss the email I wrote to douche (that he totally took out of context, said please twice..hard to determine the tone of a conversation in an email) and my boss exonerates me of any wrong doing and explains to douche and his boss my email. He tells my boss he will call me and apologize and brief me on the meeting, I still have not got that call. That is my burden.

i'd tell you the Lord works in mysterious ways, but that would just throw everything sideways
lets see, i missed the sunday morning sermon, since i was teaching a sundayschool class (we are slowly working our way through the Gospel of John)
we were in John 5:27-29 and how Jesus tried to use the pharisees knowledge of the scriptures to get them to understand He is the Messiah, by claiming for himself titles that Daniel used for Him. (speaking of Daniel, you're story reminds me of the Baker and the Cupbearer, and nevermind, that was Joseph)
adult sundayschool was on being a mature Christian (that is where we met Ismael)

the I got to lead a short service at the nursing home, and i preached on the woman at the well, and how her perception of Jesus changes as she spends time with Him (a Jew, sir, greater then our father Abraham, prophet, Christ)
and because of the location of that meeting (in the Bible) i spend a little bit of time explaining how there are no races in the eyes of God and how Jesus displayed that by his conversation with this woman

then evening service was on the two different fillings of the Spirit (the one that is mentioned which is given by God for a specific task, and the other which is the result of having your mind renewed by the scriptures

oh, and then for good measure i decided to head back to Church after the kids went to sleep to plow the snow that had fallen while i was at the nursing home

@harrisonm if it wasnt for the snow, i'd take you up on that offer, but i was never one for wintersports
