Agree with Dragonsteel, the 3M tape is the way to go. I have used some on fender emblems and they are still holding on very well, 5 years later. You can get thin tape that won't raise the trim up at all.

Just my 2 cents....but as hard as that rare belt trim is to find, and as expensive as it is if you're lucky enough to find it, I'd want plenty of clips holding it down! I like the 3M tape, and use it for emblems too....but I wouldn't trust it enough to hold that particular trim.

Thanks that's what I was thinking. Now I just need to find someone that's got them off for measurements for hole spacing.

You might send @Oldmanmopar a PM. He's forgotten more about Dusters than the rest of us will ever know! If your trim hasn't been cleaned and polished yet, maybe look on the underneath side and see if you can see where the fasteners were before.

My 74 Scamp had it I think. At least there's holes and drilled out rivets. About 2.5 inches apart on the ends and about 6 inches apart in between.

Can somebody school me on this trim? Was it an option? My Duster is torn apart for resto right now and I don't remember if it was on my car or not. When I get my kids under control for the night, I'll go out to the shop and see if the doors have holes for the clips. Any info on this trim would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know much about this trim.Didnt even know it existed until I spotted it out in a pic and had to have it.Apparently pretty rare.

I don't have measurements, but I do have pictures showing the general hole locations. Also tells you how many clips per piece of trim if your trim didn't come with all the clips still attached. This isn't my car, I found a set for my Duster/Demon clone and have these saved for reference.

It’s called belt line trim, like the title says. It’s pretty hard to find, as it was only an option on Dusters and Demons and only for a couple years. Finding a complete set of all 4 pieces can take some time.

Yes the rear trim is definitely different.I have a 75 Valiant with this trim and the door pieces look the same as the Duster

Holes can be spaced approximately. Can move clips around as needed.
Id be more worried about distance from door/window edge and size of hole......

Dave

As soon as the weather gets better I'll pop a piece off the Valiant parts car to check hole size and placement for the door pieces at least. Thanks
