stock or hv oil pump

Without proof, I'm a non believer. I don't buy that the stock pump pumps "all it can" through the stock pickup. At least not without concrete data. "He" doesn't provide "that".

I can say without a doubt that I've witnessed engines pump "way more" oil with an HV pump retaining the same stock pickup as with a stock pump. Case and point. A 360 in a 71 Dart I had years ago. Before I built it, it had the stock "drizzle" of oil to the rockers and valve tips. After rebuild and HV oil pump, it squirted oil all over the headers.
Rusty, with the HV pump and the stock sized pick up tube you likely get more flow and pressure at low RPM’s. It would be at higher perhaps max RPM that a restriction to flow would occurr that a larger pick up tube would resolve.
