In search of a standard bore stock 340 2nd piston ring.

Is there any automotive machine shops near you? A .040 over 350 chev ring is the same, example; Hasting 2M139 040 could get you going. If you were closer I'd give you 1, shops always have partial sets.

Yes go to a "real" auto parts store and you can order just 1 piston set.

Summit offers a couple single cylinder ring set in 4.04 bore 5/64”. Here is one example. They have a sealed power single cylinder set also.
