Who started FABO?

-
Yea, I realized it was a "MUSTDO THIS" because it was a "Action required" thing.

I think Rob and I recruited a bunch of guys from Moparchat. I know CudaChick and few others came from the old Yahoo groups Barracuda pages.

Oh hell ya. I was on a mission invading boards all over. M-chat mostly.
Some call me hero and others call me villain...

Nice to see the history. I joined just over 3 years ago but have been building a-bodies for over 35 years.

Sorry guy's, I was away hunting again so it has taken a few days for me to respond.

I am member number 55 on this version of FABO. I was around for the previous two (I believe) as well. I have had the privilege of meeting a few of the original members, Adam, Rory and Kevin to name three. They are all good people. I still keep in touch with Brett, the owner of that beautiful blue 'cuda. He owns a dealership out west and has a few cars.

I have met about 40 members over the years and can honestly say that I haven't met a better bunch of people. I met Adam when his oldest daughter was still in diapers. The member that lives the farthest from me that I met was MoparMuscleGuy in Cocoa, Fl, another cool car guy. I would like to meet SGBarracuda, I pass by him usually once a year when I go to Cocoa Beach.

I was not in on making the site, I was just one of the early joiners.

Adam created a good monster here and Joey keeps it going.

Jack
All you have to do is let me know on one of your trips and we will meet somewhere. And I agree I have met some really good people on FABO.

The guy i bought my 67 cuda from turned me on to fabo in May of 2010, so yeah, i been here 8 years. I love this site. Will continue to renew my gold membership. Its well worth it to me. I dont do fakebook or tweeter so this is my social media. I have made many friends on here over the years, learned a lot of things about A bodys. I hope i have contributed a bit with stuff i have trailblazed here and posted up for the collective.

I originaly joined this place on March 13, 2005.
Great place and a few great users are still around from all the way back then,Thanks Adam for creating this fantastic place!

FB pages are great but they are harder to find a information library like a forum has. fb subjects seem to get a ton of idiots that have no clue about the advice they are giving...

The search engine here is great. So are the different threads and sections for each vehicle system. I'm not a big fan of how fakebook is formatted. It's designed more as a rolling social media site, and not a car building site. This is why A bodies is still here. Easy to navigate, and easy to use search engine.

Thanks to all of You Guys that have been here, for a long while. -- Your, continued, activity has been very important in building FABO to the Great Site that it is today. -- --

damn! 2004? i was an early member (May 22, 2004). can't believe its been so damn long...
I know! AdamR did the sight because he wasn’t working due to it being winter and was bored as I remember! Never thought it would have turned into what it it has. Even he didn’t ! I’ve been here since the beginning, don’t let the “Boss Vega V8 “ name fool anyone... been a Mopar guy forever.... lol ....I sold AdamR his first Mopar in 1996.
