Trick Flow small block heads

-
Well I'm switching out the camshaft the valvetrain anyways. Like I said I'm not ripping it apart twice. Thus fixing the issue.....
Nice E/T. Were the Eddie head cnc'd?

No, Curtis Boggs at Race Flow Development hand ported them.

Damn my buddy is quoting me on a Indy 360-1 kit. Do I now have INDYFEVER!!!!!
FG
Just so you know Indy will rip you off with their junk. I have 2 sets of Indy T/A heads. And will never buy Indy again. No customer service at all. If I buy a 3rd set It will be Trick Flows.

Yeah I got quoted for the indy kit, plus CNC. Plus shipping to Canada, I just can't afford it..trick flows from Summit free shipping even to Canada.

I think there was a lot of relevant stuff deleted past Wed.......
If you remove this one as well i won't be offended

disregard
confused with another thread:BangHead:

FYI, Summit Racing "Santa" discount code good as of today, just bought heads separately using the "Santa" code saved $100 on each.

OK... normally aspirated, under .570 lift flat tappet hydraulic with 9.5-10.0 compression.
Should I use studs or bolts to fasten the heads?

Bolts work fine,
I re use the old factory head bolts or pull some from the wrecking yard on factory iron stuff. You aren't in the range of pushing head gaskets and needing head studs imo.
I've run a lot more and never have.
12.1 225psi and up..you bet, but not this.
Ultimately though ..run what they recommend.

I have them on my big block challenger street car, they work and work well as delivered, I am sure some one with enough money could find a few more ponies, but for me they are all I need.

Small block trick flow's**** but thanks for the response!!

mine's been running for a while... unfortunately I hurt the bottom end... (not a lot of good luck with this build lol)

Have a good friend who is putting the finishing touches on a Trick flow 416 going in a typical 3100 ish pound with driver Duster bracket car
Trick flow heads
264-268 Hughes flat tappet, 620 ish lift
950 quick fuel carb
Victor
1 7/8 headman race headers
12. 5 compression zero deck deal with the 60cc head
727
8 inch convertor that might initially be off a little( was behind more motor)... we will see
My hope is it will run 129 in the 10.30’s range
Will update when it gets out. Just waiting on pushrods

TTi 1 7/8 headers
904 with Ultimate Converter...that was ordered for this engine...
71 Dart just under 2900 lbs...but in Vegas air and heat...

I just bought a set of the Trick Flows From Mike At B3 Racing Engines. They are going to replace the EQ I had on my 360 magnum. The engine is out of my 96 Dodge Dakota race truck. The old combo is as Follows.

2000 Dodge Magnum
Stock bore. KB-107 pistons at zero deck.
PRW 1.6 Roller rockers, guide plates and 5/16 push rods.
Comp cams solid lifter
260 at 0.050 and 595 lift with 1.6 rockers
Home ported EQ heads with stock size valves
Home ported Indy single plane intake
Holley HP 650 DP that was now flows 800cfm
Hooker full length headers. 1-5/8 ,tube 3 inch collector
727 8 inch converter 5500 stall
Ford 8.8 with 4.30 gears
M/T 28x9x15 slick
This engine in a 94 extended cab 2 wheel drive dakota. That weighed around 3200 ,pounds with driver ran 7.16 at 96MPH in the 1/8 mile. The engine was built for a claimer class.
My truck Is a 96 Dakota SB 2 wheel drive.
904 transmission. 8 inch 5600 stall coan converter
I don't remember what the compression was with the EQ heads. But with the Trick Flow heads the compression should be right at 12.1
Everything else engine wise is the same from the 94 Xtendcab dakota.
My 96 I hope only weighs no more than 3300 pounds with me in it
I should get the heads this weekend. But cant race it until the tracks open back up. I hope my 96 will run 7 flat in the 1/8 and high tens in the 1/4. So what do you guys think my chances are? Lol here is a pick of the 94 then my red 96

I hate to say it but that combo should run better than high 10’s unless you are racing in Denver. You are now under 3200 pounds.

Agree with Pittsburg racer. Should run better than real high 10’s
My 3300 pound 10 to 1 360 runs 7.20’s and 11.20’s ( good air) with very mildly touched up eddies and a similar cam. Bone stock 360 shortblock
8 inch vert, 904, 28 tire and 4.30 gears.
With much better heads and way more compression you should be in the 10.60’s or 70’s i would think pretty easily. Sounds like a nice combo

Thanks. I was just guessing what it might run. Ok I don't want to get this post to far off track. But what do you think about adding a low gear set in the 904? I have never used a set before. Pluse I haven't raced on the track in over 6 years now. Lol and the last thing I used to race was my big block 73 dart.pluse this small block stuff is all new to me. Lol
