Project "Pig Pen" 1967 Dart Gt

Cause it was rebuilt and then someone didn't give a darn what it looked like. Now you have it and all that's gonna change.

I should pull it out and clean it all up now. But then I'd want to do the engine bay... And then the snowball continues! I'm considering buying a done built 440 or something like that 413 I showed you..... Not sure what to do now.

Then pull it, clean the engine and bay and paint the engine bay and then STOP and put it back together.

Unfortunately due to the rust it needs blasting, patching or even aprons... I'm just trying to keep it from turning into a never ending project and if I pull out the 383 I'd rather sink some cash into something I want long term. I think the 383 is rebuilt but I don't think it's much for performance... Probably very stock built.

Well nothing wrong with that for the NOW. It will be a barrel of monkeys with a good hot ignition curve.

I'll walk you right through it on the phone. Just let me know when you're ready.
Does it matter if it has a points distributor? I have an aluminum water pump housing on the way and pump, then I have to mount the radiator and trans lines I have to redo as they look like Ray Charles did them with his feet.

Nope. You can curve either or.

Awesome. I'll let you know when I'm ready. Unfortunately winter arrived in Wisconsin finally and we have some pretty cold temps and about a foot of snow Sunday.

Send some down here.

One thing I hate about Wisconsin, we seriously don't see the sun for months... It's always overcast in winter here. How is your project coming along?

Slow. Acquired a few parts.

Did you ever find your mounts? I'm still waiting on mine.

Nope. They aren't available yet. I have lots of time, but if I get to the mock up stage and they're still not ready, I'll make some. I have a good set of spool mounts and all I need to to is make the brackets that sit on the K frame that accept them. Either that, or a motor plate. I was really not wanting a motor plate because I wanted a more factory look.

That will be slick when it's all done. Do you have a resto thread going for it?

I'm sure it looks great!

meh......it's ok. I need to put the finishing touches on the bottom corner of of the rear window opening......I got it "real good" compared to "what I had".

Here is a quick update. 383 is coming gout this weekend so I can do the engine bay up. I have a 440 being built right now. Here are a few pictures.

I finally got a day to work on Pig Pen. She's a dirty old girl. I sold the 383 and trans so I pulled her out today. Buyer is picking up in the morning. I decided to take advantage of 50 degrees in Wisconsin!
