Greenlight 1/18 Vanishing Point Challenger- a (mostly) amazing piece

I picked up this model a while back and it has been a very welcome addition to the "nicer" car memorabilia that my wife tolerates around the house. It's sitting on the shelf next to 1/18 Ertl(?) Six Pack Super Bee and a 1969 Hemi Charger (that I got back in the late 90s/early 00s)...and it certainly has more detail than either of these.

This model seems to vary a lot in price. Some retailers want $100+...others, significantly less. I found mine on Ebay for $60 shipped. It feels like a nice value for that price.

Not being a diehard collector of this scale, I don't really know what to expect but in addition to the working steering (which they all generally seem to have...), this car has some really nice interior details including seat belts, trunk detail including the spare tire and jack. Nice little touches all over the place. Cool stuff.

From almost every single angle, this car just nails the looks and proportions of the 70 Challenger...except one. The grille seems to come to a point in the middle in the way that the original car does not...or if it does come to a slight point on the real car, I guess I've never noticed...so at the least, it's vastly less noticeable in 1:1.

It's honestly the only thing that bugs me and it took a while before it struck me as not being right on.

Does anyone else have one? What do you think? If the grille needs to be modded, has anyone attempted to fix something like this?

The pics (found on line) don’t quite do the car justice. It looks significantly better in real life. I tried to find examples that accentuate that grille issue...
