See that little boss in the rear carb for a vacuum fitting? Consider making that a blow off valve like maybe a big barb fitting with a tight vacuum cap on it. If you ever get a backfire, it may blow off and vent before cracking your top. Ive seen more than one tops that have been "repaired". I bought mine with no top for $100 and made dual and single 4 tops out of 1/4 (didnt last, 2 390 carbs backfired and popped top) and finally 3/8 plate that survived one and only backfire.

What is with the buddy bar logo?
Found an older posting (Nov 21, 2018) here on FABO where you asked the same question and apparently it was the foundry that did castings for Edelbrock and Shelby as well.:poke:

Old-timers disease.
Why did they have to use someone else to cast their manifold?

... except @cawley gets to enjoy the lifetime warranty I extended to the customer who originally retained me to restore it. How many aftermarket vendors would do that?

Wayne, I forgot to mention earlier that the last bolt boss on the base's rear passenger side had to be ground down some due to a casting defect that wouldn't allow the bolt head to sit flush. I cleaned it up already but look there first if you have any installation troubles.

I hope you enjoy many decades of happy service and compliments!

O & by the way its going in a 67 barracuda

I admit I have always love any engine with more than one carb!! I also remember all my 6 pa cars from decades ago, and the experts always said, 1 good 4 bbl would do just as well, but it looks so GOOD!!!
When my wife checks out some of my work on whatever, and it does not meet HER approval, she tells me " I am just putting lip stick on a pig"!!! lol
If it is her honey do project, I just tell her it HER pig!!! lol

I always heard them say better than a trip set up but it is all so very particular in it application. An equal 950 cfm carb on a small displacement engine normally doesn’t drive around so well. It drives at WOT very nicely sure! Just the way it was design to do.
