So we moved in July. Did the mail forward thing at the post office. All seemed well for the most part. Although we don't feel as though we got the usual number of cards this season. We've laughed at the thought of the new owner of our old home getting our cards, making her feel loved. LOL.

Today, we got this in the mail, inside another envelope. Apparently our cards, with our address change included, passed in the mail. It only toom the post office 2 months to send it back to her. So our friend re-enveloped it and sent it back to us at our new house.

The previous owners of our house has been deceased for almost 8 years. I've informed the local post office, the post master as well as the carrier & we still get mail for them. I've put "RTS addressee deceased" on it to go back to the sender but I guess no one pays attention when it goes back to the sender. I've gotten to where I just pitch them in the trash now.

I've marked envelopes, "Addressee Unknown" several times, and the carrier takes it and then it comes back a couple days later. :realcrazy:

My heros at the P.O. come in a close second to my heros in gubbermint.
