1972 Dart I picked up for a parts for myself

While i don't like that the OP is going to cut it up for a hood, which is so easy to find a replacement for, it's sickening (dude: Dodge Dart Swinger (1970-72) | AAR Quality Fiberglass Reproductions), I do agree that it's his car and yeah, I parted out a Demon once.

That said, it's a four door. I need the rockers and the wheel houses for my Valiant, but I can't afford to ship that stuff from way over there (and I'm the middle of the country, not in Cali or Hawaii), so the parts demand on that car ain't great. Most of it will go to China to get made into stainless steel knives that rust. The seller is at least near the big shows and the parts may be enough to cherry out 4 or 5 other nice a-bodies that are each missing something but it's not necessarily using that whole car.

The other side: Remember the Charger that the guy beat up because he didn't get his asking price? Seller ain't that guy, so....don't bust his chops.

My request: please don't part it. Find it another home. I'll chip in $20 for another hood (You are close to the big shows, where you can find that stuff. It is one of the most common hoods in Dartdom). I never saw it for sale but around here, for $3k, that car's a quick sale in that shape if the seller works a bit. Drive it to Starbuckstown with a $5k for sale sign in the back window and I bet some hipster that's trying to get laid will come running so fast his skinny jeans will ignite from the friction. Or sell it at the Nats or Carlisle. Hell, I sold a non-running nasty old Hang10 Dart with no title to a lady at the Nats several years ago and she restored it to perfection. I couldn't believe what I saw when I went back 7 years later. THAT was a parts car.

When I see someone in PA say 'parts have to come from somewhere', I start to think you must not look that hard given that both huge national shows are within a days' drive for you. I don't have a huge Mopar show that's within 8 hours of me that I know of.

Besides OP, eat another cheeseburger. The reaper will come for you, too, some day. We'll get your parts stash one way or another! Vultures, assemble!:icon_fU:
