What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Installing a Bouchillon Performance kickdown cable setup in my '62 Valiant with an LA 408.

It took me a long time to figure out that my old kickdown cable wasn't pulling on the transmission lever nearly enough with my stock Thermoquad, so I bought the Bouchillon kit because they've engineered the correct throttle lever for a TQ. Also, their adjustable cable stop plate is very nice. I haven't got it completely installed yet, so I can't say how well it works. The instructions aren't too bad, but they could be organized a bit better. Randy Bouchillon was really nice to me when I asked him questions by email. They say it will take you about 1-1/2 hours to install the cable. Yes, it might on the second or third install, but the first one takes a lot longer than that because you have to figure everything out.

Not sure if this will help, took a couple of pics of my Bouchillon attachments around carb. Takes a little trial and error depending on your carb for the bracket. On tranny itself was real tight, not a lot of room down there. Mine went onto 65 Dart with 904 and floor shift
