So how do you locate your favorite threads, like your own build thread quickly?
Might be obvious, just not seeing it.

The easiest way to find a favorite thread is to bookmark it. Your bookmarks can be accessed in your user information. I use bookmarks for all the threads that have info I want to go back to.

My own build thread I put in my signature, so it's even easier to find. I can look it up in my user info, or just open it from my last post.

You can look up "your content" in your user info too, that shows all of your own posts. Although if you have a lot of posts that won't be super helpful.

OK thanks. I thought there might be something easier.
I'm going to put my build thread in my signature for sure.
I'm getting a lot of bookmarks and content so those are not quick.

Click on your name under your avatar, profile then postings.. If you scroll down to the bottom there's a "Threads you started option". You can also put key words in the search function and put your user name in too.

Oh believe me, I know. Going to "my content" isn't helpful at all unless I know I posted it in the last couple months. With 10k posts even stuff I put up myself requires a search to find it. And I've got 4 pages of bookmarks. But I try to label them with a title that makes sense so I can scroll through those pretty quick. Plus I have deleted some that I don't go back to anymore, and I've saved a bunch of stuff onto my own computer for reference. That's not helpful for finding a build thread though.

The path to "threads you started" helps.
Seems kinda odd there's not a quicker simpler option, like "favortie threads" that can be edited.
Also seems there was on the previous forum format.

When you start a thread, put a letter or a digit as the first place holder. You can code your lettering system as you wish. Like F for favorite, G for general, E for engine, or X for xylophones.
if you ascribe a digit to it, I think they will appear at the top of the heap.

Good idea.
Do you know if thread titles can be edited?

If I know / remember part of a title, I can find it on Google. I didn't realize when I signed on here, but I evidently have a rather unique username. "Idaho" might make that a bit more difficult. Another thing that has become difficult is the "great transformation" to the "new improved" software. The photos posted in the "old forum" don't show up in a search as they once did. And the photophuphuphuphucket that screwed the world REALLY hurts. i was recently trying to help a guy find the old thread on PC board repair. The photos are pretty much gone.

No problem, tho, finding ................this

But whatever I posted below it unfortunately was removed by "tinypic"

Ya photobucket screwed the pooch and a lot of photos were lost. But, in FABO's defense, as easy as it is to post photos here from your phone or computer, there is no reason to use anything else.

I think that's what "bookmark" is for. It saves all threads you bookmark as favorites.

That's true NOW. The old software wasn't nearly as easy to use and it limited the size of the photo pretty severely. Photobucket was super easy and it let you post giant pictures. I think the current software is a good compromise, but I'm sure Joey is seeing a big uptick in server use for all the photo's hosted on the site now.

What on earth were you climbing?
I find google gets me to a lot of FABO stuff. I lost all my saved threads when the system was updated. It's for sure easier to put pics up now though.

I may just need to figure out how to make better use of it.
