Ya photobucket screwed the pooch and a lot of photos were lost. But, in FABO's defense, as easy as it is to post photos here from your phone or computer, there is no reason to use anything else.
That's true NOW. The old software wasn't nearly as easy to use and it limited the size of the photo pretty severely. Photobucket was super easy and it let you post giant pictures. I think the current software is a good compromise, but I'm sure Joey is seeing a big uptick in server use for all the photo's hosted on the site now.
