The "savage baggage handlers" will have a ball with that

One way tickets ($60 ea) then rental car to drive it back to Seattle airport. We will have to do off site parking for my old suburban as it's tall, hood will fit into that then we'll turn the rental into the airport.

Add all the $ up. Your way probably less expensive than paying freight. Less harmful too.

Not for about 7 months of the year! Actually we are lucking out, supposed to get some next 2 days, good timing!

Dad was a Operating Engineer, usually only vacations we got were when the Engineers went out on strike. Mom gets the call one day "Pack the trailer and the kids, we're going to BC Canada". We were still living in the desert back then. When we returned we went through the Olympic Peninsula/rain forest. I was so disappointed, nothing but sunlight, BRIGHT sunlight. "This is a rain forest! It's sposed to be raining! I can see the sun at home 345 days a year"

Have I mentioned how much I hate electrical systems!?!?! Trying to figure out what goes where is a *****

Just got a message from a whiskey tasting buddy. He bought a car in Minneapolis and he needs a driver. Sounds like an adventure. It's a supercharged Audi Q5.

So wiring diagram shows a voltage regulator but there’s no wires for it in this harness.

Elevator, elevator, you got the shaft. Dang!
Nope harness is actually correct. Done for today, had to go pick up my daughter from school, tested for the flu. So there went any chance of firing it today, even though I did go buy a new regulator! This is the style I need. Also picked up the correct ballast resistor. Apparently this style comes with its own harness which is why I was missing it.

Green wire goes from the field post on ALT. The blue goes from the Ballast resistor to the other term on regulator. Simple.

Thanks. It came with the jumpers. Should be ready to go now.

Decided to finish other side of frame repair.

Another part done and ready to paint. Drilled for cab mounting bracket and cab is actually sitting a tad higher as its properly supported.

Ugh ugh ugh. Lost another Vet and fellow service member to suicide today. 11 years to the date of the first one I served with who ended up taking his own life. Almost to the hour. Just sad, and something I just can’t wrap my mind around. The “why”.

anyway, pass the booze, gonna be a long one today
