Prayers for Ryan Neuman

If you ask the drivers, it's the restriction plates that are the problem. Thats how they get all bunched up with no real throttle control of the power. Makes for some interesting racing for sure.
The plates have been blamed since the 80s. Yet drafting and the like was happening going all the way back. without plates, these cars with 100 extra HP would be in the stands and lots would die. It’s not the plates that are the problem. At least not solely.

No it's not the plates that's the problem, it's the impatient moron trying to win.
It only takes a couple of morons to ruin a race. Logano comes to mind.

Slow them down aerodynamically. Did you see them poking their hand out of the window during qualifying. It takes air off of the spoiler. They need to stand the windshields up. Didnt see too many people drafting million dollar Bill when he ran 220.

It was the last lap of the race. Impatient? Blocking could be blamed just the same.

They tried to slow them down that way before... it bunched them up and the result was a number 3 car into the wall and the death of Dale Sr. Remember the 3 inch tall piece of angle iron on top of the roof of the car?!

I suppose it's just boiled down to physics and racing. I didn't see any body at fault for what happened.

Hans device was available to Dale. He chose not to use it. Couldnt read the draft.

Agreed. I felt really bad for the young man driving that 32 car. He was all over twitter apologizing and such. Really beating himself up. I don’t have a twitter account or I’d said the same as you. Racing incident and luck. No ones fault for that one

No one in NASCAR used the Hans at the time. Plus it had just been developed shortly before his death.

Dale was the only driver wearing an open face helmet though. The helmet being open face is why he said he could feel the air.

Hans may have saved him.

One nasty crash, watched it live. Thought I just watched someone die. Thank the Lord Ryan is alive.

Here's what the problem is in a nutshell. Earnhardt said it many times. If a car is slower than one behind it, GET OUT OF THE WAY! That's it. That's all there is to it. Slower cars are a hazard when they do not move aside. You can trace them to causes of wrecks all the way back to the inception of stock car racing. It's really that simple.

I'm talking about the whole race, a F'n moron is a moron weather he's chicken **** *** bumping or blocking.
that isn't racing it's chicken **** moves.

I did not watch the race. I see what you are saying now.

Earnhardt was one of the dirtiest drivers to ever sit *** in a racecar. He might be alive today if he didn't try to block the whole field on that final lap , Cause his 2 cars were leading.
