66 Barracuda Ignition switch bezel

I bought this 66 Barracuda with just a bare hole for the ignition. I know that I need an ignition switch and key cylinder, which seem to be readily available.

But I assume that I also need some type of bezel with a threaded nut to hold the switch in place. I don’t see a 1966 Barracuda bezel in any restoration catalogs, or on EBay right now.

Does anyone have a part number or know of a bezel that will work? Perhaps from a 1960’s era B body or something.

It is threaded....I think its Part# 2497158 or 2631549. If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll have double check my parts manual

Thank you very much for the quick response. A quick internet search seems to confirm that you are correct about the part number.

So I guess I’m waiting for one to turn up on EBay, unless a member here has one for sale.
 
PN 2496 517? Thats lists for a 65 if its any different from a 66. Possibly as the dash was different than 64/65

To me it looks like you need only a bezel nut to screw onto the key cylinder housing/assembly. Instrument bezel is the switch bezel. Through 67 model A-body may interchange. 67 does have a chrome bezel in the dash that requires a very similar small bezel nut. Good luck with it.

Here’s a pic of what I have as far as bezels and ignition switch and lock cylinder with key. As you can see there are 2 different styles of bezels, both of which screw on to the ignition switch. I “think” the one on the right is the one for a 66 Barracuda dash; the other style I believe is for a 65.

Hi Dartman,

Does $40 sound OK? (Just kinda guessing based on EBay for other Mopar bezels)
