Just scored a 2010 dodge 1500 5.7 Hemi from a good friend of mine with 15k for 700! Got a 46rh transmission laying around, thinking about building it up and going manual valve body on it. Is it a good transmission for the genIII? Plan now is to throw in my 71 Powerwagon. Which sucks cause got the slant 6 turbo running smooth. Which I’ll sell off to help fund. I’ve always wanted a old rig with reliability, which here is my chance. I guess what I’m trying to ask, is this an easy conversion? I’ve seen plenty of standalone harnesses and engine mounts that will work.

Doing a 62 D-100 for a customer. Tons of room. Used the TTI headers for 72-93 Dodge trucks. Factory manifolds would be a breeze, too. Using a 545RFE auto. Had to eliminate the mid-mount cross member. Used the factory engine mount pads and worked up from there for mounts. It'll be a pretty straight forward deal. Your 46rh would be a good one. Most of the 727 build up tricks apply. Correct on the maual valve body, no provision for kick down with drive by wire.

The 46 will be fine with it. But you will need to work something for the shifting. That 5.7 is Drive by wire, 46 is cable. Not hard just something to think about. There are solutions already out there.
PS pressure as well.
